RIYADH: Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar on Monday received Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the Saudi capital, according to the report.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Sadiq also held talks with Sheikh Abdullah Al-Asheikh, speaker of the Saudi Shoura Council, who welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of joint parliamentary collaboration to fulfill the aspirations of both nations’ leaderships.
The two sides discussed mutual interests and ways to deepen Saudi-Pakistani parliamentary ties.
The Pakistani speaker later met Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh, the Kingdom’s grand mufti and president of the Council of Senior Scholars.
The grand mufti highlighted the role of the presidency in guiding contemporary Islamic jurisprudence, promoting moderation, and countering extremism.
Sadiq praised the Kingdom’s continued support for Pakistan and its contributions to Islamic unity and global Muslim communities.
